Tomas is an Orange County Climate Equity Organizer for Climate Action Campaign, working to advance policies that ensure environmental justice at the local level in OC. He studied at Irvine Valley College before earning a BA in Political Science at UC Berkeley, where his coursework
focused on how systems of power are created and maintained. Tomas’ family hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and enjoys making food that connects with his heritage.
Prior to joining CAC, Tomas led his local chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL), where he has advocated for equitable climate policies since joining the organization in 2018. Tomas also serves as a Steering Committee member of the Orange County Climate Coalition (OCCC), where he has helped coordinate climate strikes, press conferences, and organized public comments. For the past several years, he has worked alongside CAC advocates to push for electrification, community choice energy, and climate action plans for the cities of Orange
County. He is excited to continue this work for a climate justice future in OC as a member of the CAC team.
