Tomorrow, our regional transportation planning agency—SANDAG—will present their draft Regional Transportation Plan for the first time. This 30-year plan will reshape how people and goods move around the region, and is a key opportunity to win an equitable, climate-safe future.

We’re calling for a plan that:

1. Slashes GHGs towards Zero Carbon. Initial modeling shows that this plan will achieve state-mandated emissions reductions, which is a great start.

2. Maximizes the shift towards sustainable modes, like biking, walking, and transit.

3. Prioritizes investments in the communities on the frontlines of environmental injustice and the climate crisis.
