Recapping Bloom, Our 2022 Friendraiser

Thank you to everyone that attended Bloom 2022: Planting Seeds for a Brighter Future on June 26th! We enjoyed celebrating our fight to protect the people and places we love with some bites, beers, and good company at Stone Brewing Liberty Station.

With your help, we raised a total of $61,000 to support our work and $20,000 specifically to support our work to fight for the implementation of San Diego's Climate Action Plan!

Your support means so much to us. Because of you, we are able to continue our fight for a safe and livable Zero Carbon future.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success, especially our emcee, Janessa Goldbeck, who kept this event upbeat and fun, even when our microphone went out. And a big congratulations to the awardees!

About Sharp Healthcare, Our 100% Clean Power Champion:

Climate Action Campaign (CAC) is excited to honor Sharp Healthcare for the 100% Clean Power Champions Award at Bloom 2022!

The 100% Clean Power Champions Award is given to businesses, agencies, and institutions that have committed to powering their businesses with 100% clean energy.

As the region’s first health system to choose 100% renewable energy through San Diego Community Power, CAC is thrilled to honor Sharp Healthcare with this award.

About Mid City CAN, Our Climate Justice Awardee:

We’re honored Mid-City CAN for their commitment to improving their community and ensuring every young person has access to free public transit through Youth Opportunity Passes. As of May, anyone under 18 can ride the bus, trolley, coaster, and sprinter for free through the pilot SANDAG Youth Opportunity Pass program.

This results from over a decade of advocacy from Mid-City CAN and community members. Through YOP, our region is building a more sustainable future with opportunity for all.

Hope you enjoy our gallery from the event!

Thank you to our sponsors and host committee for making this event possible!
